Important information for guests

Timings for the wedding day and details for the complimentary taxi service back to your accommodation after the wedding are listed within the Wedding RSVP page, and timings for the welcome party are listed within the Welcome Party RSVP page.​

Both of our wedding venues are based in an area called ‘Gardone’, and this is where the boat will be leaving from to get to our first wedding venue ‘Isola del Garda’. This would be the most convenient area to stay however there is a nearby town called Saló which is around 10 minutes away by car, this area offers additional accommodation and a number of bars and restaurants.

​

There is a reliable public transport network that runs from Saló to Gardone and back again. Alternatively, taxis will need to pre-booked in advance as they can be hard to come by. Your accommodation provider will be able to assist you with this if required.

Private transfers can also be booked in advance using various online providers (check Google) to take you from your chosen airport to the Lake/your accommodation. Taxis from the airport may cost less than a private transfer but not always, there are no set prices for the different routes and there may not be a taxi when you arrive or, if it’s late at night, they can cost much more.

​

There is a train into a town called Desenzano del Garda (Southern part of Lake Garda) and you can review routes and timetables out of ‘Desenzano del Garda’ on www.trenitalia.it. From here you will need to either take a taxi or take a bus to get to Gardone/Salo/your accommodation. Another informative website for transport links is http://www.rome2rio.com

There is a ferry network that regularly runs to many towns on the lake, this network also includes fast ferries for a small additional charge. Tickets can be purchased from ticket offices based at each ferry port. Further information can be found here: Homepage - Navigazione Laghi

Please bear in mind if you stay further away from the venues (in a location such as Saló) taxis can be infrequent and will need to be pre-booked in advance with your accommodation provider. There are also buses so you will need to research frequency and timings etc. on http://www.rome2rio.com.
